Home Up

Location: Pegram, TN

Design: Scott Coile (Coile and Associates, INC)

Project Manager: Scott Coile through Bolingbrook Land Design, INC

Completed: November 2010

Scope of Work:  House and property were flooded in the 1000 year flood in May 2010.  Homeowners completed the interior renovation in September and contacted us about renovation and improvement to the outside/site.  The pool had been salvaged and functioning but the concrete pool patio and old 6' vinyl picket fence surrounding the pool patio at it's edge were both stained from the flood and too confining and limited to the space just around the pool.  The sidewalks to the front and to the pool area were narrow and uninviting.  A new HVAC unit overlapped the old walkway to the pool.  The old spa/hot tub (damaged from the flood) was just sitting on the ground off the pool patio without any privacy.  Plantings were damaged and overgrown and in need of removal and replacement.

Elements: (1) Demolition of the plants, fencing and walkways, (2) construction of a new deck (with arbor) to expand the space around the pool, (3) construction of fencing (privacy and security in combination embracing the views of the deep lot and providing a more open feel to the area), (4) replacement and relocation of the spa/hot tub to a flush built-in location in the deck with privacy, (5) installation of complimentary pavers in two walkways, an entry courtyard and a grilling patio, (6) resurfacing of the concrete pool patio with SunDeck, (7) electrical expansion, (8) irrigation and (9) landscape planting.
